History:
The VEB Hochvakuum Dresden (HVD) located in the industrial park of Dresden has been founded at 1st January 1960. In the 60s the company engineered pump hubs, complete vacuum induction-, welding and casting implements as well as Lyophilization systems, vacuum generators, vaccum
measure-, control- and monitoring devices and metalization systems for microelectronics. From 1978 to 1986 the HVD was part of the VEB state combine for Microelectronics. In 1986 it became part of the state combine Carl Zeiss Jena. 1991 VEB Hochvakuum Dresden changed to Hochvakuum Dresden GmbH and 1996 it renamed to Pharma-& Food HVD Ausrüstungen (Equipment) Dresden GmbH, due to change in ownership.
It was sold to the entrepreneur Steffen Prescher from Rostock at 28th of December 2009.
At 8th of February 2010 because of its historical past, growth and wide spread degree of brand awareness the company changed names to HVD Vakuumanlagen und Maschinenbau Dresden GmbH.
The company is managed by Petra Peschel.
